August 7, 2017 – Alexandria, VA – LHG establishes a Program Management Operations (PMO) Office as part of LHG’s Strategic Direction for 2017 and beyond. In the words of Mr. Anthony Braddock, LHG’s President and CEO, “The most important role the new PMO will play is to help improve the professionalism and quality of project and program management services we provide to clients and serve as a Center of Excellence for PM standards and training”. In time, the PMO will fulfill a variety of functions on a day-to-day basis. It will enable project/program processes and procedures to continuously support management of project, program or portfolio work throughout LHG. The PMO will utilize LHG governance, processes, practices, and tools and provide administrative support for delivery of the project, program or portfolio work. It will support project, program or portfolio work by equipping the organization with methodologies, standards and tools to enable project managers to better deliver project services to clients. It will increase LHG project/program execution capability through the institutionalization of good practices and serve as a central point of contact for project managers for project management-related information and training. The PMO will serve as the guardian of Enterprise Project Management tools and templates and support the development of LHG project management talent. It will ensure LHG project, program and portfolio business processes and procedures are ISO 9001:2015 and CMMI-SVC compliant, to include overseeing the Internal Audit Program.
The establishment of the PMO ensures LHG’s commitment to complete customer satisfaction. It will support our continuous process improvement program in providing quality services both internally and externally, with a focus on accountability, innovation and excellence for our entire customer base.
